Gogle search is the top utilized search engine on the web. Gogle gets several hundred million queries all day through its different services. Besides the main search engine feature of searching for text, the search engine can also be used as a calculator, base, unit and currency converter, dictionary and many other useful tools. Gogle's algorithm uses a patented system called Page-Rank to help rank web pages that match a given search string. The Page-Rank algorithm calculates a recursive score for web pages, dependent on the weighted sum of the Page-Ranks of the pages connecting to them. The Page-Rank derives from human generated links, and is thought to correlate well with human concepts of importance. The exact percent of the total of web pages that Gogle indexes is not well-known, as it is really hard to actually count.

Gogle supports assorted advanced operators, which are query phrases which have special meaning to Gogle. Typically these operators modify the search in some way, or even tell Gogle to do a totally different type of search. For example, "link:" is a special operator.

Several of the more such popular operators use punctuation alternatively of phrases, or do not require a colon. Among these operators are OR, "" (the quotation operator), - (the minus operator), and + (the addition operator). More info on these types of operators is available on the fundamentals of search page. Many of these particular operators are accessible from the advanced search page, but some are not.

Gogle's new custom search engine (Gogle CSE) program enables site owners to determine their own search engines. CSE supplies a deceptively simple form based user interface for building a domain specific search engine on top of the Gogle search platform. This means that the builder gets to focus on choosing worthwhile content and tuning the ranking criteria, while Gogle does all the heavy lifting of crawl, indexing, ranking, and displaying results
